HIGH TURNOUT IN REFERENDUM, OFFICIAL SAYS
- Mher Shahgeldian, the coordinator of the Coordination Council on Constitutional Campaign, told a news conference today that the Council’s final assessment would be made later when the Central Election Commission reveals the final results and clear information is received over the complaints filed.

“We think there was a high turn-out,” Shahgeldian said. “If problems emerge during the final counting and if there are complaints, we will explicitly express our clear position based on our principles.”
Commenting on the OSCE observers’ statement, he mentioned that maybe there were several polling stations with low turn-out. In his turn, National Assembly Vice-speaker Tigran Torosian noted that the outcome of the referendum is such that even if there were setbacks and violations, the results will not be questioned.
