EXHIBITION MARKING ARF’S 115TH ANNIVERSARY OPENS AT NATIONAL LIBRARY
- As part of the series marking the 115th anniversary of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), an exhibition of books and other publications on the party’s history opened Monday at the National Library in Yerevan.

Exhibits presenting the ARF founders, program and charter, resolutions, heroic actions, national-liberation struggle as well as literature and documents on the First Republic of Armenia are on display.
Most of the exhibits are the property of the National Library, some have been delivered by the ARF.
“The party can proudly say that during its 115-year-long history, it has launched about 250 publications, hundreds of books, thousands of researches and memoirs,” says the message by the Library director, Davit Sargsian, read out at the event.
Haykazun Alvrtsian noted this was the first time such an extensive collection is presented to the Armenian public. “Many of these publications have been banned in Armenia for 70 years,” he said, adding those books contain the thoughts of the great Armenian public figures of the 19th and 20th centuries and the founders of the First Republic.
Norayr Elsayan, chairman of the ARF Yerevan committee, spoke of the history of the ARF publications saying he hoped new generations will become authors of new publications.
