ARMENIAN HISTORIAN BOOK ON ARMENIAN GENOCIDE PUBLISHED IN TURKEY
A book by Nikolay Hovhannisyan, director of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences Institute of Oriental Studies, has been published and is for sale in Turkey, Panarmenian.net reported.
“The Armenian Genocide: Armenocide,” presents to Turkish readers the viewpoint of the Armenian historian on the issue that is a sore one in Turkey, the author noted. The book was translated into Turkish in 2002 and was issued in Turkey by intelligentsia representative Rageb Zarakogli.
Hovhannisyan says he is one of the few people in Turkey, who dare speaking of the Armenian Genocide and the need to recognize it. At the instance of the publisher the author wrote a special preface for the Turkish edition, reported RFE/RL.
