LEADER OF SLOVAKIA'S ARMENIAN COMMUNITY PRAISES RESULTS OF CONFERENCE ON TURKEY
The leader of Slovakia's Armenian community commended the results achieved at the conference "Has Turkey Changed?" held in Brussels on September 22. Speaking to the news agency Noyan Tapan, Grigorian said that even if Turkey gets a positive answer on its accession bid in the October 3 negotiations with European Union, there was an obvious achievement: the Armenian Genocide issue has been voiced along with the Cyprus issue.
Grigorian noted that European Parliament Vice President Ingo Friedrich and other officials noted at the conference that Turkey does not belong in Europe. Grigorian also praised the role of the European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy, adding that the conference proved the high level of the Armenian lobbying efforts in Europe.
