EDINBURGH CITY COUNCIL TO CONSIDER ARMENIAN GENOCIDE RESOLUTION
Edinburgh City Council is planning to discuss a resolution on the Armenian Genocide, Noyan Tapan reported, citing Marmara, an Armenian-language newspaper published in Turkey.
In his letter to the Turkish ambassador, Donald Anders, the chairman if the city council, has indicated he had studied the issue comprehensively and had no doubt the Armenian people were subjected to a genocide by the Ottoman regime.
Turkish government is planning to send high-ranking diplomats to Edinburgh to block the measure.
