'GRAY WOLVES' TO LAUNCH PROTESTS

Beginning September 10, National Democratic party of Azerbaijan, better known as "Gray Wolves," is planning to stage demonstrations outside the Azerbaijani Justice Ministry building in protest of the ministry's decision to not register the party, news agency REGNUM reported.
The first picket of the party is to be held on September 12, followed by mass actions on September 24, with demands to conduct free elections.
The leader of the "Gray Wolves," Iskander Javadov, a former Azerbaijani Interior Minister, has served a 9-year prison term from 1995 to 2003.
