PRESIDENT KOCHARIAN TO PARTICIPATE IN CIS SUMMIT
President Robert Kocharian is due to leave for Kazan on August 26 to participate in the summit of the Commonwealth of the Independent States (CIS) and the celebrations marking the 1000th anniversary of Kazan's foundation.
The summit will begin with a heads of states meeting, later to be joined by foreign ministers. Issues related to reforming the CIS bodies, cooperation in humanitarian area will be among those to be discussed. Over 10 documents on political and military cooperation will be signed. On the sidelines of the summit, President Kocharian will meet on August 27 with his Azeri counterpart Ilham Aliyev.
