ARMENIA'S MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, TASHIR CHARITY SIGN MEMORANDUM ON COOPERATION
- Armenian Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan and Director of the Tashir charity fund Ashot Varosyan signed a memorandum on cooperation on Tuesday. Under the memorandum, the Tashir fund is to render financial assistance to the advanced Armenian students from Nagorno-Karabakh and Samtskhe-Javakheti (Georgia) that are studying at Armenia's higher schools. The memorandum also envisages financial assistance to the best high school teachers in Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh and Samtskhe-Javakheti. Following the signing ceremony, Minister Armen Ashotyan expressed his gratitude to President of the Tashir fund Karen Karapetyan. Тhe scholarship holders will be objectively selected. This is a basis for cooperation in new areas. This initiative has not any political implications, Ashotyan said. Mr Varosyan reported that the fund has implemented various programs over the past 20 years.
