PUTIN CLUB TO OPEN IN ARMENIA
- Pursuant to a proposal by the leaders of Armenia's youth organizations, Board of the CIS Youth Union decided to open the Putin club in Armenia, Feb. 2. The aim is to popularize Russian Premier Vladimir Putin's ideas of Russian-Armenian relations, common history and victories, formation of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC or EurAsEC) and education of the young generation. The club will be of great interest to Russian citizens living in Armenia. "Considering a proposal received from Armenian young people, we see they like Vladimir Putin very much - first of all for his being able to set out priorities of bilateral relations. The format proposed by Armenian young people can also be adopted by the other CIS member-countries," said Andranik Nikoghosyan, Chairman of the CIS Youth Union. The Putin club will be located at the House of Russian Book in Yerevan. The club will also have its website in Armenian and Russian and release booklets and magazines about Vladimir Putin and his activities.
