ARMENIAN GENOCIDE BILL IN FRANCE: AZERBAIJAN MAY RETALIATE
- If the French parliament admits the bill criminalizing denial of the Armenian Genocide, Azerbaijan will take adequate measures, Fazil Gazanfaroglu, Chairman of the Azerbaijan-based Great Revival party, told SalamNews. The Azeri parliament will respond by adopting a bill criminalizing denial of the Azeri genocide in Khojaly. "The law will mainly apply to the French. We can do so. If any French citizen, while in Azerbaijan, denies the genocide in Khojaly, he will immediately be arrested. The law will also apply to any citizen of Azerbaijan," Gazanfaroglu said. If the French parliament admits the bill criminalizing denial of the Armenian Genocide, Azerbaijan will submit a relevant proposal to the Turkish parliament, he added.
