JOE BIDEN TO DISCUSS ARMENIA-TURKEY RELATIONS IN ANKARA
- US Vice President Joe Biden is leaving for Ankara, Turkey on December 2 to meet with the country's top officials. The Turkish media have quoted Tony Blinken, Biden's advisor for national security policy, as saying that the meetings with President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will focus, among other things, the Armenia-Turkey rapprochement process. On December 3, Biden will attend the Global Initiative Summit in Istanbul. He is then scheduled to travel to Greece before returning to the United States on December 5.
