GEORGE MICHAEL PROMISES SPECIAL CONCERT FOR AUSTRIAN DOCTORS WHO 'SAVED HIS LIFE'
- George Michael has vowed to play a special gig for the doctors who "saved my life" after he was struck down with pneumonia in Austria, Mirror.co.uk reported. The 48-year-old appeared in public for the first time since he was left fighting for his life after contracting the streptococcal bug while touring last month.

The singer was admitted to hospital in Vienna on November 21 and spent more than a month fighting the infection before being released on December 22. Speaking outside his home in north London, the visibly thinner star revealed he had endured "by far the worst month of my life."
The former Wham front man apologized to his fans for being unable to contact them during his illness and vowed to "play to every single person who had a ticket."
