S. SARGSYAN ATTENDS OPENING OF STATUE TO MANTASHAVOV: ARMENIAN COSTUMES, SYMBOLIC BREAD & SALT DECORATE CHURCH

Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan kicked off the second day of his official visit to Georgia visiting St. Etchmiadzin Church located in an Armenian block called Havlabar. The Church built in 1805 has reopened its doors to thousand Georgian Armenians, and tourists recently after reconstruction. The Church stands in the historical center of Tbilisi, thus attracting many foreign tourists. A couple of month ago the Church was populated as Armenian Supreme Patriarch Garegin II was paying a visit to Georgia and consecrated this holly center. Traditional Armenian costumes and symbolic bread and salt decorated the event as Mister Serzh and Missis Rita Sargsyans arrived. Serzh Sargsyan was accompanied to the statue of Mantashov, where he put a wreath.
