YEREVAN CITY COUNCIL ELECTIONS: VOTING DAY GETTING COMPLETED
- After a few minutes the voting day will end. At 20:00pm by local time the doors of the polling stations will be closed and the voting process stopped. Only the committee members, proxies and observers are authorized to stay indoors and calculate the voting results. The Central Electoral Committee will announce the preliminary voting results in 24 hours. At 21:00pm by local time the CEC will announce the rate of the participation to the elections. Note that by 17:00 41:66% of the voters have cast their ballots. Panorama.am reporters keep visiting different polling stations and give the freshest news of the day. Note that 7 candidates compete for the mayors position, and 6 parties and 1 alliance for the city council. They compete for 65 positions. There are 13 electoral districts and 439 polling stations in Yerevan. According to the police data 771 thousand 477 voters are recorded; 790 ballot papers printed.
