“A1+ GIVEN CHANCE TO BE INCLUDED IN TENDERS AND WIN”
PACE has touched upon A1+ TV station in its Resolution N1620 and has reminded the decision made by European Court of Human Rights concerning A1+. They have declared to assure transparent tenders in providing broadcast licenses, said David Harutyunyan, the leader of Armenian Delegation to PACE and the chairman of NA standing committee on state-legal affairs, in a meeting with the journalists. To the question whether it means that all common tenders have been conducted not open and not transparent since 2002, the leader of Armenian Delegation answered: I do not agree with the statement that the tenders have not been transparent, except the one regarded by the European Court of Human Rights. Anyway, the demand is reasonable that the tenders need to be not only transparent but they should have such image also. D. Harutyunyan said that the omission of tenders conducted before was that the defeated side did not receive a statement naming its shortcomings in order they improve them. Hence, after A1+ is given an opportunity to take part in the tenders and win.
