“NATO AGAINST FORCE IMPLEMENTATION”
If it is needed NATO is ready to take part in peacekeeping activities between NKR and Azerbaijan, said Ambassador Samvel Mkrtchyan the head of Armenian delegation in NATO, in a meeting with the journalists today. But he has stated that the control of OSCE is more purposeful. NATO follows the NKR conflict, in particular the negotiating processes, he said. AS for the rumors that NATO is going to place its military bases in Azerbaijan, he said, It is not accurate to spread such information, as NATO is eligible to found its military headquarters only in the territories of member countries. The Ambassador talked about the membership of Georgia in NATO and said that if it is affirmed then in 3-5 years the full membership will be set. Of course, it will change the general principles of security in the region but it will be conducted together with NATO, he said.
