EDVARD NALBANDIAN MET BERNARD KOUCHNER

On 5 May the first labor meeting of the Foreign Affairs Ministers of Armenia and France took place. According to the public relations department of the FAM of the RA, Edvard Nalbandyan and Bernard Kouchner have discussed questions of bilateral relations, regional and international ones. Mr. Kouchner congratulated E. Nalbandyan for his appointment as the Foreign Affairs Minister and notified that his deposit as the Ambassador of Armenia in France has been of great importance and he hoped that E. Nalbandyan will continue his efforts to strengthen Armenian-French relationship. E. Nalbandyan mentioned that the previous years of his mission were significant for the countries relationship, especially strengthening inter-state relations. The Ministers notified that the presidents of the both countries have created dialogue and mutual understanding between them. The ministers agreed to take measures which could strengthen the relations between Armenian and France not only in the frames of inter-state relations but in European, regional and international levels of communication. E. Nalbandyan presented the principle directions and the objectives of the new political coalition created after the presidential elections. He also mentioned the opinions of Armenian authorities on the questions of the regional security, and in this regard special attention is paid on the NKR antagonism negotiations and the perspectives of the question regulation. Minister E. Nalbandyan said that Armenian authorities are ready to continue the negotiations of NKR question regulation by the support of the OSCE Minsk group. In the end of the meeting E. Nalbandyan invited Kouchner to Armenia. After a press conference was followed and minister Nalbandyan left for Strasburg to take part in Council of Europe Ministers 118t session.
