MEDIA REPRESENTATIVES WENT UP

Today early in the morning 18 air balloons went up from the Republic Square. Hence, the opening of the Yerevan colorful sky 2008 aerostatics first international festival was made by the media representatives particularly the TV reporters. Before the go-up we tried to find out how the journalists were feeling. They were not afraid and described their emotions as strange and vague. The first was the air balloon of the Public TV reporter to go up and after the rest. When all the air balloons were in the sky the Panorama.am reporter tried to speak with the director of the festival, the president of the Russian aerostatics Valeri Latipov. He said that though it was a little cloudy the weather was fine for the aerostatics and the Armenian nature and climate were just fitted to this sport. According to the director of the festival the air balloons might go down 10km far from the flight place in such weather. Besides, V. Latipov mentioned that the Republic square is large enough and even 30 air balloons could fly from there. After the climate changed and it started to rain. Flying for an hour in the skies of Yerevan, the air balloons landed in district of Hope, in Adjapnyak. The organizers were satisfied with the flight. The festival will last till April 13 and a competition will be held with 20 foreign aerostatics sportsmen. The sportsmen from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus arrived in Armenia and the winner will get Yerevan color full 2008 cup. The official opening ceremony of the festival will be held today in the evening. An interesting show is organized by Russian Bottler Alco company.
