R. SIMONS HOPED SITUATION CAN BE REGULATED
On 10 March in NATO headquarter office the session of Cooperation for Peace political-military committee has been held with the participation of Armenia. The information is provided by the press and public relations department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the meeting the officials discussed the Cooperation mission of Armenia in 2008, particularly what are drafted in Planning and Recovering activity. In the delegation of Armenian authorities A. Nazaryan, the deputy minister of defense, S. Mkrtchyan, the head of Armenian mission in NATO, D. Tonoyan, the head of the department of the international military cooperation and security project, M. Israelyan, the military representative of Armenia in NATO, and H. Katvalyan, the member of Armenian mission in NATO were included. The session was headed by F. Boland, the head of Armed Forces planning directory of the Security political and planning subdivision of the NATO. Before the meeting Armenian delegation held a meeting with R. Simons the representative of NATO in the Southern Caucasus. During the meeting the sides discussed the recent inner political developments in Armenia and their possible regulation. Simons was introduced to the steps and measures taken by the Armenian authorities. The Armenian side assured that the measures should be continued till the acceptable result is acquired. Simons said that he hoped the present situation in Armenia will be regulated as soon as possible.
