PRESIDENT SIGNED DECREE ON ABOLISHING TWO EMERGENCY ITEMS
President Robert Kocharian signed a decree on abolishing certain items of the decree on imposing a state of emergency in Yerevan. The abolitions touched upon the sub-points 6 and 7 of the 4th part of the decree on imposing a state of emergency. The information is provided by Viktor Soghomonyan presidents press secretary. The sixth item confirms temporary interruption of activities of parties and other public organizations, which hinder the elimination of the conditions, which became a reason for imposing the state of emergency. And the seventh one confirms sending out the people, who violated legal order of the state of emergency and who do not reside in the zone of its effect. According to Soghomonyan the president signed the decree taking into account that there was no emergency state incident since March 1, registering the stability of the inner political life, and aiming to recover the everyday, usual life of our citizens. Soghomonyan also said that appropriate specialists in presidents administration carry out some work to find legal solutions connected with the mass media limited authorities, this could allow weaken the limited rules. Note that according to the document, mass media representatives are allowed to cover countrys state and inner political questions only within state information. On 1 March, because of the well known incidents happened in Yerevan, in order to prevent the threat of RA Constitution, and to protect citizens rights and legal interests, being directed by Constitution article 55.14 and article 117.6, the president of the country made a decision to announce state emergency from 1 March for 20 days.
