JAN KUBIS: “PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS ANOTHER STEP TOWARDS DEMOCRACY”
Armenian presidential elections were another step towards democracy and they were even better than the previous ones. Today the president of ministers committee of the Council of Europe and the foreign affairs minister of Slovakia Jan Kubis held a meeting with Vardan Oskanyan, the foreign affairs minister of Armenia. He said that he agreed with the evaluation given by the OSCE observers. The elections corresponded to the international standards but there were some shortcomings. He said that he was sure Armenian officials should work on those defects notified by them. Vardan Oskanyan said that when evaluating the current inner life conditions in Armenia he would take into account the evaluation of the foreign observers and CEC. Thus people need to be more tolerant and do not create disruptions. The state managing system of our country is strong enough to be disrupted.
