MINISTRY OF JUSTICE IN FIRE
- The Ministry of Justice of the Armenian Republic was injured seriously. As the Panorama.am reporter was informed the third and the forth floors are profoundly destroyed in the results of big fire. As Arthur Voskanyan, the head of the security service, said the documents and the rest stuff were destroyed because of the fire, and the materials in the first and second floors were injured because of the wet. At the moment the fire is not gone out, as the roof and the walls of the building were made of wood. Note that the fire alarm was got at 04.50 in the morning. The fire started in the upper floors and then was spread. 20 fire brigade and 7 special vehicles work there to stop the fire. Gevorg Danielyan, the minister of justice, Aghvan Hovsepyan, the chief prosecutor and the police head of Yerevan are there. What caused the fire is not known yet, but the investigation should be put. There are no victims. According to the press and public relations department of the presidents administration, Robert Kocharyan ordered to start the investigation and find out what caused the fire. The president also ordered to provide the ministry e new building in order not to stop its usual working sequences. He also expressed his appreciation towards the fire brigade service, as they worked hard and the fire was not spread till the chief prosecutors office and the appeal court.

Today in Armenian history- 1750 Birth of Harootyoon Shmavonyan (public figure). He died in 1824.
- 1888 Birth of Koghbetlyan in Nor Nakhijevan (Rostov, Russia). He was a mathematician, geophysicist and inventor.
