UKRFERRY NAVIGATION COMPANY HEAD TO VISIT ARMENIA
Commercial director of ''Ukrferry'' company, Vladimir Chernievski, and company container sector head, Sergei Gorshkov, will pay a three day visit to Armenia today, Ukrainian embassy press services told Panorama.am. According to the source, the aim of the visit is to find improvement ways of ferry cargo transported from Ilichevsk to Poti and Batumi. ''Ukrferry'' management will hold meetings with minister of transport and communication, Andranik Manukyan. The leaders will also hold meetings in the union of industrialists and businessmen. The embassy emphasized that Ilichevsk-Poti-Batumi ferry rout is the important pillar of the Armenian foreign trade. In the course of 10 months of last year, almost half of 588 tones of cargo, 237 tones, were exported from or imported to Armenia. ''The Ukrainian embassy voices its assurance that the visit will contribute to Armenian-Ukrainian economic cooperation,'' the embassy sources say.
