MOSCOW OPEN 2008 KICKS OFF
Today Moscow Open 2008 international chess tournament kicked off in Moscow. Armenian chess masters Vladimir Hakobyan, acting champion of Armenia Karen Asryan, Artashes Minasyan, Irina Danielyan and others participate in the tournament. Hakobyan will play in A group where he heads the list with his highest 2700 rating score. Irina Danielyan is the second in C group with 2480 rating score. The acting champion of Moscow Open is Yevgeni Nairov who became the third winner of this tournament. The judge staff is headed by ex world champion Boris Spasskin. Moscow Open 2008 has 1000 registered participants at the moment. It will run in 9 rounds and will end on February 10.
