POLITICAL SCIENTIST DOES NOT LIKE THOSE WHO DISREGARD HIM
''The only person that cannot defeat Vazgen Manukyan is Levon Ter-Petrosyan,'' Edward Antinyan, a political scientist said in an interview to one of the media outlets. The political scientist expressed an opinion saying by becoming a pole of the opposition, Levon Ter-Petrosyan wanted to show that he has consolidated 14 political parties around him. ''The important thing for him was the quantity to make other others join him. But it is evident that 80 percent of those 14 political parties act in violation of the Law on Political Parties.'' The political scientist said he has suggested Levon Ter-Petrosyan to unify around one strong political party before the presidential election by the way of reorganization and to head that newly established strong party. However, ''that warning of mine was ignored, too. Moreover, it was disregarded. I agree, the first president had no obligation to listen to my advice but I believe they were principle and, in my turn, I have no obligation to put up with the illegality only because for the sake of Levon Ter-Petrosyan,'' the political scientist said. He also said he is not brought up on the principle of ''love those who contempt you.'' Edward Antinyan, deputy chairman of Armenian National Progressive Party (HAAK), has been fighting with HAAK Chairman Hovanes Hovanisyan because the latter decided to support the candidacy of Levon Ter-Petrosyan without the decision of the party board session.
