SEVENTH DETACHMENT OF ARMENIAN PEACEKEEPER LEAVES FOR IRAQ
The seventh detachment of the Armenian peacekeepers has left for Iraq on January 12. The sixth detachment will return Yerevan soon, defense ministry informs. The Armenian peacekeepers serve in the Polish division. The Polish government has taken a decision on December 18, 2007 to withdraw the Polish detachment from Iraq in 2008. The council of ministers has sent a decision to prolong the Polish military mission to Iraq until December 31 of this year to the Polish president's approval. On December 4, the Armenian National Assembly ratified the term of service of the Armenian peacekeepers to Iraq.
