GEGHAMYAN PRAISES STATEMENT BY FOREIGN MINISTER
- Vartan Oskanyan was both honest and sincere in his statement, candidate for president and leader of National Unity Party Artashes Geghamyan told Panorama.am speaking about the foreign ministers statement according to which in 2007 progress was reported in Karabakh conflict unlike during the rule of past authorities when there was no word on Karabakhs self-determination. Geghamyan considers not a big loss that Karabakh is ousted from negotiation process. He gave the following interpretation: When the fate of Japan was decided after the second world war, commander in chief of U.S. armed forces Mac Arthur wrote the acting constitution of Japan and he did not enter into negotiations with Japan. The constitution written by him is effective up to date. So, we may consider the participation of Karabakh in the negotiation process from this standpoint. If without Karabakh they find positive solutions for Karabakh, in that case I do not attach must importance to the participation of Karabakh in the negotiation process.
