GOVERNMENT HOLDS FIRST SESSION THIS YEAR
Before proceeding to the agenda of the government first session for the year, Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan congratulated the session participants with Christmas and the New Year wishing them success saying the success depends on hard work. He appealed to the government to take up such work right from the start of the year. Sargsyan underscored timely payments of pensions which have been raised this year. He also pinpointed that allowances and salaries must be paid in time. He assigned the ministry of employment and social issues to announce telephone numbers through mass media with the help of which citizen may notify about problems in getting their payments. The prime minister considered Poverty Alleviation Strategic Program as the second most important issue. He said the ministries must come up with actions plans and submit them to the approval of the government. The head of the government underscored the third condition, i.e., after submitting their applications in accordance with quarterly compliances and upon receiving state budget funds, the ministries and agencies must take up measures to implement tenders and state purchases in time in order not to delay issues that must be solved in the course of the running year.
