ARMENIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS
On January 6, the Armenian Apostolic Church ceremonially celebrated Christmas all over the world. Festivities were made at the spiritual center of Holy See St. Echmiadzin. Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin B celebrated a mass. The Catholicos mentioned that our fathers could stand the tests of centuries with a deep reliance on our Savior and enjoying his covenant of love. They have fought for self identity and preservation of heritage and have shaped a new life. He said the prayers and hopes of our fathers and the belief of our nation are taking shape in Armenia and Artsakh. ''We must continue living with the same spirit overcoming the challenges in front of us in order to defend freedom, justice, law, honesty and love for humanity,'' the Catholicos said.

Today in Armenian history- 1824 Birth, in Constantinople, of the author Archbishop Arsen Aytenian, of the Mkhitarist Congregation.

- 1828 End of the two-month reconciliation negotiations of Dehkhrak.
