PLAN DEVELOPED FOR COOPERATION OF REGIONAL REPORTERS

War and Peace Institute of the Great Britain and Northern Ireland organized today a presentation of the project ''Pan Caucasian network of reporters'' and a seminar titled ''Reporting conflicts.'' The seminar was attended by reporters from Georgia, Azerbaijan, South Ossetia, Nagorno Karabakh, North Ossetia and Kazakhstan. The Armenian branch director of the institute, Seda Muradyan, said reporters pass trainings during the seminars. Discussions are held on conflict resolution and minority issues. ''The major aim of the program is to introduce the reporters with the provisions of international humanitarian rights that relate to reporters. We particularly speak about the work in the conflict zones,'' Ashot Astabatyan, responsible person of the communication programs of the Armenian delegation of the International Committee of Red Cross, said. In his words, the reporters will have the chance to know each other and cooperate. Finally, they will have chance to report on elections in the Caucasian zone. The Institute of War and Peace organized the seminars jointly with the International Committee of Red Cross. Some 50 reporters are enrolled in the project ''Pan Caucasian network of reporters,'' and 5 of them are Armenians.
