VAZGEN MANUKYAN: “LEVON TER-PETROSYAN OWES TO OUR NATION”

There are very favorable grounds created in Armenia for change of power. This is the first time, that we will not enter between the terms in office of a president, the leader of National Democratic Union (AJM) Vazgen Manukyan said, also saying that that ripe grounds are visible in the society and people are interested not only in getting rid of someone but also in seeing positive changes. Speaking about the nomination of Levon Ter-Petrosyan in the upcoming elections, Manukyan said it was wrong from his side to express willingness to get nominated. As far as his suggestion to be elected for three years, I have said that too but I did not say come and join me and those, who do not, are betrayers, AJM leader said, also saying: These authorities must go. It is inevitable but who will come instead of them. I see that the same will come. Speaking about Levon Ter-Petrosyans suggestion to fight against Kocharyan-Serzh regime, Manukyan said: Levon Ter-Petrosyan owes to our nation. He gave an oath while being elected and he promised an Armenia written in the Declaration of Independence. After that, he violated his commitments.'' In his words, in 1996 he robbed people's vote and it is wrong that without responsibility he comes to ask something from people.
