MOTHER SELLS HER CHILDREN
The Armenian general prosecutors investigation department finished the preliminary investigation of a criminal case on sale and purchase of newly born boys. Armenian prosecutors office reports that J. Khemchyan, a mother of three children, has been in prostitution. Khemchyan temporarily lived in Ijevan. She gave birth to a boy baby on December 8, 2004 from out of marriage relationship. Two days later she sold the child to M. Pashinyan on $800 from her temporary residence at a former hospital. In January, 2005 the fact became know to children department officer of Yjevan police A. Kirakosyan, who, however, hid the incident on personal motives. Later was revealed that Khemchyan gave birth to another boy baby on November 12, 2006 and sold the baby on $700 to some A. Hambarzumyan. The arrangement was among two other people, R. Sargsyan and H. Yengibaryan. Charges are now made against J. Khemchyan, R. Sargsyan, M. Pashinyan, H. Yengibaryan, A. Hambarzumyan and A. Kirakosyan. The criminal case is forwarded to the first instance court of Tavush region for investigation.
