PRIME MINISTER CONGRATULATES CHESS PLAYERS WITH VICTORY
The prime minister yesterday sent a congratulation note to the chess players of the Armenian women and men national teams on the victory. Here, in the motherland, we already know about the final result of European chess tournament. We know about bright victory and hard victories. We know that our expectations have been justified, Serzh Sargsyan noted. In his words, the tournament ran with difficulties. We witnessed even pessimistic forecasts. However, your will to be committed and win by all means testifies that Armenian spirit is hard to win and our belief is hard to bend. Dear sportsmen and coaches, I congratulate you with the wonderful result and strong will power demonstrated at the European chess team tournament. I am proud with you and I believe in all your victories, the address says. Armenian mens group won a silver medal with a score of 21 and the womens group won a bronze medal with a score of 21 at the tournament. In both cases, Russian teams are in the leading position.
