As NA vice Speaker, member of ARF Bureau Vahan Hovhannisyan considers handing over of Hrazdan thermal power station’s 5th power unit to Russia the most optimal variant in the present situation.
“That means that if one has a smallness that costs several millions yet he has no opportunity to rebuild and restore it, it’s natural that it is worth selling it as expensive as possible,” announced NA vice Speaker at the conference today. The only problem V. Hovhannisyan is concerned with is that the process of seeking for an alternative has become more difficult. And Iran, the only way of alternative of importing energy carriers, is in a complex political state, as V. Hovhannisyan says. “Iran as an alternative is problematic itself,” he noticed insisting that the inner resources should be used to build a second new powerful nuclear station. The fact that the 5th power-engineering unit was handed in to Russia by means of Defence Ministry is right and logical for Vahan Hovhannisyan, yet the latter did not explain why.
