NEW ENVOY WITH NEW PROBLEMS
“There is no difference between my credential and that of Talvittie,” announced EU newly appointed Special Representative for South Caucasus, envoy Peter Semneby at the press conference today. Ha particularly mentioned that if Heyckie Talvittie’s main aim was “to examine the field and dictated the rules of the game” in the region, then his credential is a bit different and it schedules successful solution of two most important problems.
Thus, in the scopes of his mandate Peter Semneby has to do his best “to secure EC maximum involvement in the process of regulation of frozen antagonisms” in the South Caucasus. And the other question refers to “New neighborhood” program realization. As the EU Special Representative says, although the plan of actions of the above mentioned program is still under discussion, nevertheless, “New neighborhood” contains a large list of various problems with terms of political character.
