“RESCUER - 2006” EXERCISES IN ARMENIA
Exercise “Rescuer - 2006” is expected to be held in Armenia in the summer of the current year. The suggestion to sign the agreement about “Carrying out exercise “Rescuer - 2006” on the territory of Armenia between the RA Defence Ministry and the US Ground Troops in Europe and the Command of the 7th Armed Forces” met with the approval of the Government at the session today. As it has been informed in the information department of the Government the exercises are going to be held in the scopes of the “Cooperation for the sake of peace” program From July 18-28, 2006. About 250 representatives from 12 countries are expected to take part in the exercise.
The exercise aims at organizing the works of the RA DM military-medical Board and the Rescue Service of the Emergency Board of RA Ministry of Regional Government during natural and man-caused disasters.

Today in Armenian history- 1804 Birth of the Hungarian-Armenian armenologist, church and public figure Kristof Lookachin (Khachik Lookachian or Ghukasian).
