IRAN VOTING HOURS EXTENDED DUE TO HIGH TURNOUT
- Iranian election officials have extended voting hours due to the high turnout, Fars News Agency reports.

The Iranian Interior Ministry said it has decided to keep polling centers open until 9 pm local time (1630GMT) since people are still waiting to cast their votes in many polling stations across the country.
The voting started at 8 am (0330 GMT) this morning and was slated to end at 6:00 pm (1330 GMT) before the Interior Ministry, which is in charge of polling, was made to extend the voting hours for several times already.
Over 14,300 polling stations have been set up to elect representatives to the parliament.
The run-off vote for the remaining 65 parliament seats is being held in Tehran and 17 other provinces.
