DAREDEVILS OF SASSOUN EPIC TO PRESENTED AT ARMBOOKEXPO
- ArmBookExpo will feature presentations of various publications on Daredevils of Sassoun epic / poem. The exhibition kicks off April 21.
Armenia filed an application for inclusion of Daredevils of Sassoun epic in UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list of 2012, the discussion of which is due in November.
Daredevils of Sassoun is the title of an Old Armenian heroic epic / poem in four cycles and is about four generations of Sassoun's warriors. It is commonly cited as one of the most important works of Armenian folklore.
