EXPERT SAYS PROTOCOLS ONLY CHOICE TO NORMALIZE ARMENIA-TURKEY TIES
- U.S. continues support for Armenia-Turkey rapprochement with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's urge for Ankara to ratify protocols with Yerevan to prove the above, according to a political analyst.

As Sergey Minasyan told a news conference in Yerevan, despite having serious tools to pressure Turkey, the U.S. is unwilling to use them against Ankara to bring about protocols' ratification.
"Though in standstill, Armenia-Turkey ties have only protocols as means to achieve normalization," the expert said, noting protocols to be the most optimal document for the purpose.
