- The first RA President Levon Ter-Petrosyan met a delegation headed by German MFA Secretary of State Gernot Erler on Mar. 29 in Yerevan, ANC reported. The parties focused on RA domestic policy issues, state of democracy in Armenia and oncoming Mayoral elections, as well as NKR conflict settlement issues and normalization of Armenian-Turkish ties.

Today in Armenian history- 1804 Birth of the Hungarian-Armenian armenologist, church and public figure Kristof Lookachin (Khachik Lookachian or Ghukasian). He frequently raised the issue in the Austro-Hungarian Government and the Pope to free Armenians from Latin bishops' power and to reestablish the Armenian bishopric.
