QUADRIPARTITE POLITICAL COALITION FORMED IN ARMENIA
- Quadripartite political coalition was formed in Armenia today, the RA government’s press office reported. The agreement was signed by Serzh Sargsyan, chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia, Gagik Tsarukyan, chairman of Prosperous Armenia party, Artur Baghdassaryan, chairman of Orinats Yerkir party and Armen Rustamyan, member of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun Supreme Body. The purpose of the coalition is formation of an efficient trustworthy power, consolidation of human rights protection mechanisms, development and implementation of a joint program, improvement of living conditions, efficient resistance to internal and external challenges.

- 1888 Birth of Marietta Shahinyan (Bolshevik propaganda writer) in Moscow.
- 1942 Vahan Mirakyan (poet) dies in Yerevan. He was born in 1866.
- 1981 Inauguration of the Arpa-Sevan tunnel.
