TER-PETROSYAN REQUESTED CC LET HIM HAVE THE FLOOR
- Armenia’s former President Levon Ter-Petrosyan requested the Constitutional Court to let him have the floor during the session, lawyer Pargev Ohanyan said. “Yesterday Levon Ter-Petrosyan requested the CC to grant him the floor for 10 minutes to express his standpoint on the appeal,” he said. For his part, CC chairman Gagik Harutyunyan said, “Levon Ter-Petrosyan can deliver a speech either during the pleadings or present concluding remarks,” Novosti Armenia reports. The Armenian Constitutional Court proceeded to consideration of appeals of the February 19 presidential election results, pinning the suits brought in by Tigran Karapetyan and Levon Ter-Petrosyan.

Let me remind you that at the presidential elections of 2003, Robert Kocharian, who at that time was not hated as much as Serj now, did not get majority votes at the first round, and got only 59% at the second round. How could Serj get 53% at the first round in 2008? When all people in Armenia hate Kocharian-Sarkissian alliance?
The international organizations reported unprecedented activity of the population this time. Do you believe that 70% of the population participated to the elections to give their votes to Serj???
Serj has simply stolen other candidates' votes + there was a lot of stuffing. Check www.youtube.com/a1plusnews to see how it was done.
Now the constitutional court will be hearing the appeals filed by two candidates, including Levon Ter-Petrossian. If the court rules for Serj, then it means that all the violations were under 3%.
Everybody is sure the court will decide for Serj. Why shouldn't they? They are so dependent of Robert and Serj, and frightened too. Wouldn't you be afraid of that mafia???- Rafael wrote:

Today in Armenian history- 1862 Ter Harootyoonian publisheds the "Yeghbayraser" periodical until 1863, in Calcutta.
- 1873 Birth of writer Teodeek (Labchinchian) in Constantinople. He barely escaped from the Der Zor desert and lived under another name till the end of the First World War. Then he returned to his birthplace. His famous books are "Monument to April 24" and "Calendar for Everyone", which he finished in Paris.
- 1878 Birth of Zaruhi Dolukhanyan (singer). She died in 1936.
- 1920 Parade of the veterans of the defenders of Hatjin, Cilicia. Four battalions resisted Turkish aggression till the middle of October. The heroic battle of Hatjin is one of the bright pages in the history of our national struggle.
- 1924 Death of Vrooyr, actor, satirist, and founding editor of the "Hoosharar" periodical.
- 1959 Birth of Vazgen Sargsian, one of the leaders of the Artsakh War. He was Prime Minister of Armenia in June, 1999 and was assassinated in the Armenian National Assembly on 1999 10 27.
- 1991 Creation of the "Gharabagh Committee" of Russian intellectuals in Moscow. The purpose was the internationalization and just resolution of the Artsakh Problem.
- 1998 The Cypriot Parliament condemns the decision to desecrate the Makar Church (in the territories occupied by Turkey) by turning it into a hotel. The Turkish forces had devastated and pillaged it during Turkey's invasion of Cyprus in 1974.
