Actually, I was there at almost every protest. Protest organizers continuously stressed non-violence, and indeed, the crowd was non-violent until the morning of March 1 when police used truncheons, electric shockers, and clubs to beat and kill people. There are at least 12 dead. March 1 afternoon also saw an unprecedented rally of 100,000+ peaceful protesters. The military drove a jeep through the crowd at around 3:15pm at very high speed. At least 2 women were caught under it. At 9:15pm, riot police and military used assault rifles to cleanse peaceful protesters who fought back with rocks and metal rods. There are dozens dead, but they are not being announced due to the 20-day "state of emergency" in which the government is covering up what happened.
The current criminal government must be held accountable. Kocharian and Sargsyan are mass murderers and there must be a tribunal to remove these ruthless dictators from power.- narek

I know what is going on in Armenia: I knew it from year 1990. The people are not happy for their lives since they don’t have jobs, and there is absence of justice in Armenia.
All these started when LTP was in power and now it is continuing. LTP doesn’t have the moral quality to lead and fix these problems. No matter how hard LTP and its supporters use all their tools to divide and control the Armenian people, it will not work: we all remember LTP. If he wanted to change something in Armenia, than he shouldn’t have base his pre election rallies on hate, lies and fear. These factors created the tragedy that we had in Armenia.
I agree that this government and the current system should be changed, but I think LTP should be out of this process, for the reason mentioned above.
Now try to act as a real Armenian!- Anon
