AL-JAZEERA TO BROADCAST REPORTS ON ARMENIA AND NAGORNO KARABAKH
- September 17 Al-Jazeera broadcast an interview of President of Armenia Robert Kocharian to the channel’s correspondent Zavyr Shevji. In the interview the Armenian leader touched upon matters of peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Armenia’s relations with the Arab world and regional issues. Within his visit to Armenia the Al-Jazeera reporter visited Nagorno Karabakh and interviewed NKR President Arkady Ghoukassian. Owing to the 15th anniversary of Armenia’s independence Al-Jazeera will launch a series of reports on cultural, economic and political life in Armenia and NK starting with September 21. Interviews with leaders, opposition, the clergy and Armenian population will also be broadcast, reports Hay Dat Middle East Bureau.
