WHEAT AND FLOUR MARKETS STUDIED
- The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition of Armenia is studying the markets of diesel fuel and wheat. Head of the commission Artak Shaboyan told reporters today that they are not studying the bread market where hundreds of companies operate but the flour and wheat markets where consolidation is high. He refused to say whether the bread price increase in Armenia is grounded, noting only that the price of grain rose in the international market. According to Artak Shaboyan, the high-concentration markets, such as car fuel, wheat and sugar are under daily control of the commission. At the same time, he recalled that prices in Armenia are not controlled, and it depends on the supply and demand.
