BARGAVACH HAYASTAN BOYCOTTED NA MEETING
- Today's session of parliament started with a scandal. The parliamentary group of the Prosperous Armenia Party boycotted the meeting of parliament. Naira Zohrabyan stated about this determining their step by the current "unconstructive political situation". "Yesterday the Speaker did not enable us to express the position of our faction. Since yesterday the Speaker and some Republican members of parliament made some incorrect assessments of the BHP through the media outlets and at the National Assembly, I consider it worth stressing that the BHP has always expressed its position on the bill discussed yesterday and voted in accordance with its ideas," said Zohrabyan, noting in regard to the statements on the anti-corruption bill that everyone knows it has nothing to do with anti-corruption but it is just an additional source of income for banks which are already prospering at the expense of the Armenian citizens, Zohrabyan said. Surprised Republicans asked for a 20 minute break and continued the meeting without the BHP members of parliament.
