CO-CHAIRS EXPECT PRESIDENTS TO MEET SOON
The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are meticulously preparing for the meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Geneva on March 13 and 14. In addition, Bernard Fassier, the French co-chair, visited Armenia then Baku to prepare for the meeting. On March 12 he will again return to Yerevan. The Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanyan confirmed March 9 that Fassier will most probably return to Armenia. Considering that Vardan Oskanyan met with Matthew Bryza March 5 in Washington for the same purpose, it becomes evident that the upcoming meeting of the foreign ministers is prepared thoroughly. Vardan Oskanyan agreed to this, adding that the co-chairs are preparing seriously for this meeting, although it does not mean that they did not treat the previous meetings seriously.
Vardan Oskanyan says the attitude towards the new meeting is determined by the wish of the co-chairs to work more productively to prepare the meeting of the presidents soon after the parliamentary election.
Vardan Oskanyan also stated that the attitude of Armenia towards the document on the ground is the same, and the return of refugees will not be considered until there is no clarity about the problem of self-determination, the status. In this sense, the Armenian government says what there is. And whatever is there is on the document, and Vardan Oskanyan believes this.
