NATIONAL ASSEMBLY BECOMES A POLITICAL BODY

Hranush Hakobyan, who has been elected to the parliament of Soviet Armenia and the Republic of Armenia for five times from constituencies, will run in the parliamentary election 2007 on the Republican ticket. “The National Assembly is becoming a political body, the National Assembly is becoming a team, it starts working as a team, and one must become part of the team, participate in team work, reinforce team work. My running on the Republican ticket is the result of our joint work. They gladly appointed me chair of the Committee of Science, Education, Culture and Youth, whereas I am non-partisan. My running on the Republican ticket is an assessment of our work. Let someone else try from constituencies,” Hranush Hakobyan stated.
Hranush Hakobyan disagrees that the Republican ticket is not objective. “No one is new to this ticket. The first part of it includes ministers and members of parliament, who have worked out and implemented the policies of the past 4 years. I don’t know what exactly Mr. Petrosyan meant.”
