HRANT KHACHATRYAN ENTERED SIM OFFICE
On February 20 at about 12.50 Hrant Khachatryan and over 15 policemen entered the office of the SIM Party (the Constitutional Right Union Party). He entered as the leader of the SIM Party. The Court of Appeal passed this decision 10 days ago.
Haik Babukhanyan, the deputy of Hrant Khachatryan for a decade, his adversary after the 17th conference of the SIM Party, who got a punch from Hrant Khachatryan, promised on February 19 a large-scale action. He did not tell the details. When at 12 o'clock Hrant Khachatryan came to the SIM office, the door was locked. The law enforcers waited for 25 minutes, for another 25 minutes they were trying to unlock the door. When they opened it, there was nobody inside. The law enforcers started making an inventory record. The reporters were not allowed to enter but they could hear doors open without keys, the locks were broken. Over this period Hrant Khachatryan told the reporters that the locks of all the doors in the office had been changed, the interior of the office of the leader of the party had been changed as well. “The safe, where I used to keep the documents of the party, some personal things, as well as bullets of a legal gun, is not there. The bookcase with books, personal things, films shot in youth have disappeared,” Hrant Khachatryan stated.
The leader of the SIM Party also stated that after the inventory is made, the leadership of the SIM Party will hold a meeting and decide on what to do next. Today SIM's Iravunk newspaper was not issued. Hrant Khachatryan stated that every effort will be made to publish the Iravunk and to restore the state of things.
