SAMVEL BABAYAN IS READY TO GIVE HIS QUOTAS

Samvel Babayan is said to be false opposition, he is said to be opposed to only one wing of power, Serge Sargsyan. On February 14 the news reporters asked this question to Andranik Tevanyan, member of the political council of Samvel Babayan’s Dashink Party. The reporters tried, nevertheless, to offer facts proving that the Dashink Party is false opposition; Samvel Babayan is said to have got quotas for certain branches of business, which is impossible in Armenia without Robert Kocharyan’s approval. Andranik Tevanyan said the information on Babayan’s business quotas is clear libel. “If you are aware of business quotas, find out more and publish, and we will give the quotas to you,” Andranik Tevanyan told the news reporters. According to him, these quotas are libel in the pro-government media, and everyone can understand that it is not true. Andranik Tevanyan said if Babayan had such quotas, he would not need to set up a political party and join the opposition. When the reporters retorted that Gagik Tsarukyan also has businesses and a lot of money but has set up a political party, Andranik Tevanyan said Gagik Tsarukyan’s party is not opposition.
